Once your crystals and stones have been returned to their natural state, it’s time to charge them. If you haven’t cleansed them yet, here is the link to “How to Cleanse your Crystals”.
Crystals and Stones do not continue to carry unlimited amounts of charge. Depending on the crystal or stone, they will eventually become depleted or have absorbed negative energies to the point of needing to be cleansed and re-charged.
Some stones benefit from Sun charging, Moon Charging or Earth Charging, but we will not get into specifics of those today. We will however cover simple ways of charging ALL of your crystals & stones.
Full Moon
Setting your crystals & stones under the full moon is an effective and easy way to charge them. It also helps us to make it a regular practice as it happens every 28 days.
HOW TO: Place your stones on a tray, plate or other surface that will safely hold your stones. If possible, return them to earth by setting them on the ground or using a flower pot filled with dirt and place outside for the three days of the full moon if possible, in order to get the energies of the sun & full moon. Otherwise, leave them out overnight and pull them back in after sunrise. If you are lucky enough to have a thunder storm, your stones will also receive that electric charge, so don’t let that stop you from putting them out with the exception of Selenite.
If you feel more comfortable keeping them inside, you may place them on the window sill in the moons light.
Citrine, Amethyst & Selenite Charging
While Citrine, Amethyst & Selenite have their own healing frequencies, they are also natural chargers.
HOW TO: place your crystals & stones on a slab of selenite, or cluster of amethyst or citrine for at least 7 hrs.
Reiki Charging
if you are attuned to Reiki, it is an excellent way to charge your stones!
HOW TO: Activate Reiki using your attunement symbols, hold each crystal in your hands until you feel the rise and fall of energy.
